  • accepting an award of $334,025 from the State Chancellor's Office to enable continued development of the Medical Laboratory Technician program.  

  • accepting as information the substantive change proposals submitted by IVC and SC to the Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges (AACJC) Western Association of Schools and Colleges about student services offered at the Advanced Technology & Education Park.   
  • a resolution outlining responsibilities of IVC, SC and SOCCCD administration in the operation and development of the current ATEP site and the undeveloped acres at ATEP. 
  • award of bid for the SC pool deck replacement to Condor, Inc. in the amount of $1,058,000.


  • award of bids for site utility severance and demolition at ATEP to US Demolition in the amount of $1,275,166 and CST Environmental in the amount of $600,000.
  • management reorganization at SC.
  • Trustees congratulated Gary Poertner and expressed pride in accomplishments of the SC nursing program and 25th anniversary of Irvine Valley College.   Dr. Robert Bramucci, Vice Chancellor, Technology & Learning Services, was recognized for recent media coverage of technology innovations for students.  Acting Chancellor Dixie Bullock congratulated both colleges on successful accreditation site visits and upon receiving many commendations. 

  • SC President Tod Burnett's written report included mention of: accreditation site visit; annual State of the College breakfast; Homecoming football game and activities; National League for Nursing site visitor's preliminary report recommending continued accreditation for 8 years; performances by the Big Band, Wind Ensemble, Jazz Lab Ensemble, Symphony Orchestra, Community Chorale and of Bat Boy: The Musical; and Automotive Technology students Anthony Sardegna and Andrew Hutchins winning $2,000 scholarships from The Granger Corporation. 
  • IVC President Glenn Roquemore's written report included mention of: selection of President Roquemore as co-chair of the Advisory Committee on Education Services (ACES) for 2010-11; 25th anniversary activities culminating a year long celebration; Guitar Instructor John Schneiderman recently released an album, The Czar's Guitars, "Souvenirs of Russia;" accreditation site visit; debate team kicks off new season; successful Golf Tournament at Oak Creek Golf Club sponsored by AT&T; and 2010-11 PRO IVC Fundraising Campaign goal of $250,000.

Television broadcast is scheduled for 7pm on both Friday, October 29 and Saturday, October 30, on Saddleback College Channel 39 and Irvine Valley College Channel 33.  SC TV39 has an additional broadcast on Sunday, October 31 at 7pm.
