Advantech groundbreaking with shovels

TUSTIN, CA — October 10, 2024 – Advantech celebrated the groundbreaking of its new North America campus in Tustin today, marking a major milestone in the company’s expansion and innovation. The event brought together local dignitaries, business partners, and community leaders to commemorate the project and discuss its importance for both the company and the region.

The ceremony opened with a welcome from Jonathan Bagnall, President of Uprite Construction, who introduced key partners and attendees.

Ween Niu, General Manager of Advantech North America, took the stage to share the company's vision for the new campus, highlighting its commitment to technological innovation and the collaborative partnerships that made the project possible.

"This groundbreaking represents not only the physical start of a new facility but also the beginning of a new chapter for Advantech in North America. We are excited to continue delivering cutting-edge technologies that will drive industry transformation," said Niu.

Following Niu’s remarks, Ryan Gallagher, Mayor Pro Tem of the City of Tustin, expressed the city’s enthusiasm for the project and its potential to create jobs and bolster the local economy.

Leadership from the South Orange County Community College District (SOCCCD) also shared their perspective on how this development will benefit local education and workforce development. Timothy Jemal, Board President, and Dr. Julianna Barnes, Chancellor, emphasized the district's excitement about future partnerships with Advantech and the opportunities the new campus will bring for students and educators.

The event concluded with a ceremonial groundbreaking, symbolizing the official start of construction, followed by a networking session where attendees discussed the project and enjoyed refreshments.

The new Advantech North America campus is expected to be completed by July 2026, further solidifying the company’s role as a leader in innovative technology solutions.
