The SOCCCD Public Affairs department is excited to announce the launch of its newest venture, the podcast series "Voices of SOCCCD."
Hosted by SOCCCD Chancellor Julianna M. Asperin Barnes, the podcast aims to provide a platform for diverse voices within the district and engage the community in discussions about education, innovation, and personal journeys.
"Voices of SOCCCD" will feature interviews with faculty, staff, students, alumni, and community members, highlighting their experiences, achievements, and contributions to the community. Listeners can expect insightful conversations on a wide range of topics, including education, career development, leadership, and the transformative power of community colleges.
The podcast series aligns with SOCCCD's commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment while celebrating the diversity and achievements of its members. To kick-off the series, Chancellor Barnes sat down with Student Trustee Katelyn Hidde before the end of her term to discuss the role of the position, important student initiatives and ways that students can amplify their voices at Saddleback College and Irvine Valley College.
