MISSION VIEJO, CA— On January 31, 2022 the incoming Executive Director of Fiscal Services for the South Orange County Community College District, Connie Cavanaugh will begin with a transitional period under the direction of long time director Kim McCord.
Cavanaugh’s work experience includes 20 years as an Assistant Superintendent at the K-12 level, most recently serving in the neighboring Saddleback Valley Unified School District.
Cavanaugh is a graduate of the University of California Santa Barbara where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in economics with an accounting emphasis. She is also a Certified Public Accountant licensed in California.
Connie Cavanaugh is enthusiastic to join the district team and said, "I am excited to join the Fiscal Services team at SOCCCD. I look forward to supporting the district in continued fiscal stability."
Hiring manager, Vice Chancellor of Business Services Ann-Marie Gabel shared the same enthusiasm in welcoming Cavanagh. “Although I will miss Kim’s can-do attitude and institutional knowledge deeply, I am excited that we were able to hire someone with as much expertise that Connie is bringing with her,” said Vice Chancellor Gabel. “I look forward to working with Connie for years to come.”
