Mission Viejo, CA The South Orange County Community College District (SOCCCD) was proud to announce the recipients of the Classified Professional of the Year and Manager of the Year awards, as well as the esteemed service pin recipients at a district ceremony on Tuesday, May 14, 2024. In attendance were District Services employees as well as Vice President of the Board of Trustees, Trustee Terri Rydell and Trustee Marcia Milchiker. The recognition underscores the dedication and excellence demonstrated by individuals within the district who go above and beyond in their service to higher education and the California Community Colleges.

"We are thrilled to honor these exceptional individuals who have demonstrated outstanding dedication, leadership, and service to the South Orange County Community College District. Their commitment to excellence is truly inspiring and embodies the spirit of our district. Congratulations to all of the award winners and service pin recipients for their remarkable achievements," said Chancellor Julianna Asperin Barnes.

Manager of the Year:

Jackie Han, Assistant Director, Fiscal Services was honored with the Manager of the Year award for their exemplary leadership, collaboration, and ability to inspire others. Her innovative approach to management has resulted in positive outcomes and enhanced the overall effectiveness of their department.

Classified Professional of the Year:

Judy Perez, Program Research Analyst was awarded the Classified Professional of the Year for her outstanding contributions, commitment to excellence, and dedication to the mission of the South Orange County Community College District. Through her hard work and passion, Judy has made a significant impact on the campus community and beyond.

Service Pin Recipients:

In addition to recognizing the Classified Professional of the Year and Manager of the Year, the South Orange County Community College District was proud to acknowledge individuals for their long-standing commitment and dedication for 5, 10, 15, and 20 years of service. Most notable were the 25 Year Service Pin recipients presented to, Raul Gutierrez, Applications Specialist and Loc Pham, Systems and Storage Administrator.

5 Year Pins:
