South Orange County Community College District Announces 2025 State of the District
MISSION VIEJO, CA – The South Orange County Community College District (SOCCCD) is pleased to announce the 2025 State of the District event to all faculty, staff, students, and community members.
Board of Trustees President Tim Jemal said,
“We found great success with the inaugural State of the District event last year where we had an opportunity to share with the community—our accomplishments, challenges, and plans for the future. As we collectively strive to continue high-quality education and support services for our diverse student body of over 50,000 students, we are excited to provide a needed update to our stakeholders from every group and sector across our diverse service area.”
Through a presentation led by Chancellor Julianna M. Asperin Barnes, EdD and Presidents of Saddleback College and Irvine Valley College, Dr. Elliot Stern and Dr. John Hernandez — the event will entail information that will help inform the audience of the progress and potential of SOCCCD, while shedding light on the unique journeys of students along with the amazing abilities of faculty and staff. Each attendee will receive a printed copy of the District’s annual report and will be the first to view the annual video presentation.
SOCCCD remains dedicated to providing accessible, affordable, and quality education to our community. As we reflect on our accomplishments and challenges, we look forward to a future of continued growth and positive impact.
